Dr Matthew Cheng

BSc, MBBS (Hons), FRACS (Plast), PhD

Dr Matthew Cheng is an Australian-trained specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon based in Brisbane, Queensland. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a member of both the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.

With a special interest in cosmetic surgery, Dr Cheng has advanced training in breast surgery, body contouring, and facial aesthetics, having completed a fellowship endorsed by the Australian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons in Sydney.

He holds a PhD in breast tissue engineering from the Queensland University of Technology, with research featured in major media outlets. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Cheng is a Staff Specialist at Princess Alexandra Hospital where he actively contributes to both clinical care and surgical education.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing his interests in triathlons and the NRL.
